About Us!
The SW Florida Chess Club, located in Naples, was started in July 2009. Founder and President Greg Gordon has been a USCF member and chess player since the 1980's, and has participated in local and state tournaments in Pennsylvania and Delaware.
The Pelican Bay Chess Club formerly under the direction of Michel Rosen, President, aligned with the SWFL Chess Club in March 2010. This has strengthened the membership and is a great addition to the SW Florida Chess Club!
In July 2010, the SW Florida Chess Club celebrated its first anniversary with the welcomed addition of the Marco Island Chess Enthusiasts, formerly under the direction of Dr. Mario Sanchez, President, extending our membership from Ft. Myers and Cape Coral to Marco Island!
The SW Florida Chess Club Meets Saturdays:
Saturdays: Books-A-Million, at Mercato, US 41 and
Vanderbilt Beach Road, 9:30 to 4:00pm
All players Welcome!

Club membership dues are $5.00 a year!
